    WHAT TO DO IF YOUR IDENTITY IS STOLEN!

1) Place a fraud alert on your credit reports with the 3 major credit bureaus.
  EQUIFAX 1-800-525-6285 www.equifax.com  
  EXPERIAN 1-888-397-3742 www.experian.com  
  TRANS UNION 1-800-680-7289 www.transunion.com  
   
2) Get a copy of your credit report.
  -Victims of ID Theft can receive a copy of their credit reports free.
   
3) Contact SFCU and any other financial institutions.
  -Tell them that you may be a victim of identity theft.
   
4) Call all of your credit card issuers.
   
5) File a report with your local police department.
  -You can also file a report in the community where the identity theft took place.
  -Keep a copy of the police report to notify all of your creditors of the crime.
   
6) In the US, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
  -Contact the FTC's Identity Theft Hotline @ 1-877-ID-THEFT (438-4338)
