INTRODUCTION
You have a right to privacy. Sidney Federal Credit Union respects that, and will protect your privacy. Here’s how we’ll do that, and the practices we follow to protect confidential information:
We partner with companies whose products help us provide services to our members. At times, we provide them to help them give members information on their products and services. We give them only the information they need to help them communicate with our members. What they send members originates with them.
We comply with all state and federal laws relating to the treatment of customer information. We limit employee access to information, and teach them about member confidentiality. Then we strictly enforce the standards to prevent any abuse.
GENERAL PRIVACY POLICY
- We will not share your individual customer information with third parties for any promotional purpose.
- Our credit union will collect only the personal information necessary to conduct our business. That means just what is necessary to provide competitive financial products and services - no more.
- Our credit union will maintain strong security controls to protect member information. When appropriate, we will use security coding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to personal records, ensure accuracy and integrity of communications and transaction, and protect member confidentiality.
- You will always have access to your information. You will have the opportunity to review your information and make necessary changes to ensure that our records are complete and accurate.
- Our credit union will only share information when absolutely necessary. We will only share information to administer the products and services we provide, when required to do so by the government, or when we partner with other businesses to offer a broader array of products and services.
- Our credit union will partner only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. The businesses we select will offer products designed to enhance our members’ economic well-being. Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge your account without your express consent.
- We will not sell member information to telemarketing firms.
- We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our members and former members to anyone, except as permitted or required by law.
